RICHARD MANNERING:
Richard turned Professional in 1999 and worked as an assistant at Lanark Golf Club. During his time at Lanark he coached members both beginner and team level. Richard also took the game of golf to some of the more rural schools in the area coaching kids of all ages and abilities.
Following Lanark Richard worked at both East Renfrewshire Golf Club and Mearns Castle Golf Academy were he continued to gain knowledge in other areas of golf. Richard has also studied sports psychology, golf fitness and specialised in club repairs and customisation.It was with Callaway Golf and Cleveland/Srixon Golf that Richard learned about the highest level of club fitting for players of every standard.
In August 2009 Richard joined the team of professionals at Playsport Golf, teaching a wide variety of golfers from beginners and high handicap players to low handicap and Lanarkshire County team players. Richard's teaching method is "full game coaching", were he focuses on all aspects of the game whether delivering a video lesson, short game or a playing lesson he helps his clients visualise shots and eliminate doubt through practice techniques.
